Whimsy Butterflies

I am up on the Sweet 'n Sassy blog today with this card using one of the March release sets, Garden Whimsy

To create these cards I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel.
For the first one I stamped the butterfly image directly on the panel, colored it and then created a background using the Shards stencil by A Colorful Life Designs. I stamped the butterfly for a second time, colored it, fussy cut it and popped it on top of the other.

For the second one I also started with a top folding card base and this time created the background using the Shards stencil directly on the base. I stamped the butterfly, colored it, fussy cut it out and popped it up on the card front with a strip of foam tape. To get the texture on the butterfly I used the terry cloth and colorless blender.
