Flowers for Ellie

Yesterday I lost a very dear friend and my heart has been hurting. I made this card to honor her. She loved rainbows and flowers. 

For this card I used a technique that my friend Lydia showed us in one of her lives but it originally done by Channin on an instagram post.

 I loved the technique and decided to give it a try for the CAS challenge at Splitcoaststampers to use something new. 

To create this card I started with a top folding card base and a white panel. I stamped the floral image from the set You Have My Heart by Simon Says Stamp.  I cut the panel in to various size strips and then ink blended each of them in rainbow order and placed them on the card base. To finish the card I added some dimension with markers and the sentiment (which is totally Ellie) is from the Delightful Blooms set by Gina K Designs
