Happy Friday!
Today is celebrate your unique talent day, read more about it HERE
With this bloghop the Misti design team is celebrating the unique talent of Iliana Myska, the inventor of the MISTI. If you a stamper and don't have a MISTI or even if you do, you need to hop along and leave a comment on everyones blog (full list below) for a chance to win your choice of an Original or Mini, it will change your world I promise!

Now back to Iliana, she is a genius and there is no other word. She spent hours upon hours in her basement inventing a way to make our lives as a stamper easier and the MISTI was born. I remember when she first started making them herself, she would make them and then post on Facebook how many she had and they literally were gone in 60 seconds. I tried my best each time she posted and I always missed out. I finally pre ordered one in October and did not receive it until March, she would post what order number she was on and I would look to see how close I was to getting mine. When I finally received mine I was the happiest girl alive and immediately started using it with every card I made, little did I know how much of a difference it would make in my stamping. I was the worst about making my card and stamping the greeting last and it would be crooked, I threw away so many cards before the MISTI. I bought one layering stamp before I owned a MISTI but I only used it once because even though it was clear, if I didn't get a good impression for the life of me I could not get it to line back up. MISTI solved all those problems and more! Now I buy layering stamps now because with the MISTI I can use them. I never throw a card away because of crooked sentiments.
Not only did Iliana invent the MISTI and change our world, tis past January at Creativation she introduced the Creative Corners and creative is the perfect word for them. These corners can be used in so many ways, stamping the image off the panel, lining up greetings, perfect spacing, check out all the ways to use them and other videos using the misti HERE. Then she introduces the Studio Bag, y'all this bag is to die for, you can put so much stuff in there to take to a class, crop or just store your supplies in. Her ingenuity just keeps shining.
I cannot thank her enough for taking time away from her family and leaving a full-time job to make my hobby so much more enjoyable.

Now for the details on my card.  I started with a white top folding card base, The Original Misti and a panel cut down with a stitched die. For the background I used the Tree Rings Background stamp by Stampin Up, this is another reason I love the MISTI, I have small hands and I could not hold the block that was for background stamps in my had without dropping it on my paper after I inked it up. With the Misti it is so much better, I place it over my paper close the lid, open and ink it up and I can over stamp if needed, no worries about it falling out of my hand.
Next I used the Painted Harvest set also by Stampin Up. Now I know you see a sunflower in this set, but if you use a post it note to mask off the bottom half of the flower and stamp it several times tuning a little between stamping then you get this cute little hedgehog. The greeting is from another Stampin Up set Just Add Text and this was the perfect greeting for the card because Iliana is a wonderful person, friend, and a genius and the MISTI is the most wonderful tool a stamper could own!

Thanks for stopping by, here is the hop order, your next stop is Kia

  26. You are beyond creative, Ceal! How did you ever think up using a sunflower stamp to create a hedgehog? It's adorable! I remember the days of Iliana posting how many she had available and having them sell out before I could grab one. Fun walk down memory lane. I'm forever grateful she invented the MISTI.
