Galaxies

It's my turn to share a card for the Beyond the Blue challenges. We are just a group of friends who follow Lydia (Understandblue) and use her daily lives for inspiration for our weekly challenges.

This week we are wanting to see galaxy backgrounds.
To create my card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel.

I created the galaxy background by ink blending, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire, Picked Raspberry Salvaged Patina and Hickory Smoke. I spritzed some water over the panel and then also added some stars by using a white gel pen.
I stamped the image from the Dance Mode set by Picket Fence Studios, fussy cut it out and then popped it up on the galaxy panel. The greeting is a strip by Tim Holtz.

  1. This is lovely! I am trying to do the challenge... but I've always found galaxies challenging! LOL So far I have black acrylic paint covering up all the wonderful colors I painted first. So now it's just black, empty space. I've moved on it ink smooshing, but it's not looking so hot, either. I'm going to keep trying!
