Picket Fence Studios Release Day!

It's release day at Picket fence Studios and another fabulous release it is. This release is all about the ocean. I love the ocean so I loved this release.
I am going to share a couple cards each day so stop back by for more inspiration.

My first card I used our new paper Glaze that was released at creativation and made a faux stained glass card.
To do this I used the Whale of a Tail Die and cut it out once in Blue cardstock and then another in silver foil. I placed the blue diecut on the card base and then started filling it with the paper glaze. I mixed Black Pansy and Snowdrop White together to make the gray for the whale. For the ocean I used Cornflower Blue, Ocean Poppy and Succulent Green. The sky color was made by mixing Daffodil Yellow with just a little bit of Peony Pink. After I got done filling it all in then I adhered the silver foil on top to mimic the pewter in stained glass. This card was suer fun to make and when I make the next one I will stack the diecuts higher to where the paper glaze will be thicker.

For my next sample, I made a shaker card which are always fun!
To create this one I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of watercolor paper. I spritzed the On a Seahorse's Dream with water and then ran a couple of blue Art Bars by Derwent across it and stamped it on the watercolor paper. I used a circle die to cut out the window for my shaker. Using the Art Bars and the Things on the Sea Floor set, I created the elements inside the window. I stamped the sentiment from an older set, A Dose of Vitamin Sea on the card base in the middle of the window and then added some sequins before placing the watercolored panel over it. To finish the card using the Art Bars I watercolored a seahorse from the Swim in the Sea set, cut it out using the Coordinating Die and popped it on the side of the shaker window.
