Birthday Dahlias

Happy Saturday!
I am up on the Technique Junkies design blog today featuring this card. I love Dahlias, so when I saw this stamp it had to be one of my choices. You can save 10% off  this stamp and your entire order by using my code TJ10Ceal at Technique Junkies Stamps

To create this card I started with a top folding white card base and a white pane cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. I stamped the dahlia image using Gina K's Black Amalgam ink and colored it using Copic markers. I created the background using the Classic Harlequin stencil from A Colorful Life,  the Life Changing Blending Brushes by Picket Fence Studios, which really are Life Changing and some Prickly Pear ink by Gina K designs

Being a CAS stamper I very rarely use patterned paper although I have a ton of it. Stencils are a great way to give you card a subtle background. A colorful life has some fabulous stencils and I now have a discount code you can use to save 10% CealACL10

Notice the Happy Birthday strips on this card, wonder how I made those? There is no way you could cut those that small in a trimmer. I used the Cut-Align by My Sweet Petunia to cut those super close.
