I have been sending some time with my daughter who will be stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany in January, thus the reason for a late post.
I cannot believe Christmas is this week! Wow where did the time go!?!
Kathy is our hostess for this week and she chose for us to focus on the Wonderful Christmas story that gave us a reason to celebrate Easter this week
Luke 1:26-32.
"In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary.
The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored? The Lord is with you."
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David."Her challenge to us was to make a card using a sketch drawn up by here, you can find it HERE.
I chose to make a Christmas card using her sketch. Please stop by our Bog and see how the rest of the DT chose to use her sketch and participate for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor Scrapbook News and Review, a three month subscription to SNR magazine
I really love this card. Something about it really appealed to me. Very cute!!!!
ReplyDeletePlease tell your daughter thank you very much from me and my family for the service that she does for this country and our freedom. We can not thank her enough. If she is ever in central Illinois tell her to stop by, I would love to take her out for dinner or whatever strikes her fancy.
God Bless you and your whole family. Lori
I love your trees on this card and your dp is cute! I love how the ribbon has a saying on it, too! Awesome card!
