It's Sunday and time for another Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge. Laurie is our hostess this week and she was lead to choose this verse "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
His love endures forever."

This makes me think of the Michale W. Smith's song that says "give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love endures forever." As you can see that song is taken right out of scripture. God's love does endure forever. It is hard to understand the love God has for us because sometimes as humans it is hard for us to love others especially those who have hurt us. But God's love is unconditional, agape and He loves us no matter how many times we hurt him. I know I have hurt God many times because I am a sinner and not perfect like Jesus. I thank God for allowing Jesus to be the ultimate sacrifice so I can be seen through the blood of Jesus and be loved by the God of the universe. and be forgiven and seen righteous in His eyes.
The challenge is to make a card that expresses your thankfulness for someone or something they have done or to make a card that encourages someone to be thankful. I chose to make a card for my friend who is always there for me when I need her.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Ceal, and wonderful words for thought!! I love that song and had it in my head since I first saw the scripture she chose :) I listen to KLove every day and that song is on there a lot. Anyway, I also love your colors on this--very fresh :)
ReplyDeleteCeal, the verse is framed so nicely with that shape and it is set so perfectly above the bow. I like what you had to say too, great song and yes, His love endures forever, despite what we may do. A great thought to carry us through the week.
