Our challenge this week created a challenge for me at this time of year. I usually do a Christmas card with a white on white challenge with a snow theme, but I really wasn't feeling Christmas so it was difficult to think something different and then I saw a white hugs die cut that wasn't used on another card, I just needed the negative space and ding the light bulb came on.
I started with a white card base of course, the hugs die cut from the Cuddles & Hugs die set by Concord & 9th and also the Cuddles & Hugs stamp set by Concord & 9th.
I inked with the heart image with versa mark ink and embossed it in white of course, I used the heart die from the Heartstrings Dies to cut it out.
Using foam tape I popped the heart up in the center of the card and placed the hugs die on top.
Good for you for trying something different! This is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love your over-sized hugs die cut with this heart, Ceal! A fabulous take on the code word!
ReplyDeleteHow clever Ceal. I'm getting so much inspiration from this card - love the way you've die-cut this card. x C
