Happy Sunday!
This is the first post of three that I have scheduled today, so be sure to stop back by though out the day to see the others. It's time for a new game at AAA Cards, Upcycling (use anything that you did not purposely buy for crafting). Our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers, offering a $20 gift voucher to their store.
I have to admit, I had a hard time with this one, but I finally came up with some rhinestone that were bought to put on my nails and some thread.
I can't wait to see what y'all come up with, just remember to keep it CAS.
To make my card I started with a top folding white card base. I used the Star of Light bundle from the new Holiday Mini. I cut the background to the star in Island Indigo and then the star in white. I added some thread behind it to give it more dimension. To finish the card, I stamped the greeting from the Star of Light set and added some rhinestones for sparkle.
You may have struggled, but it was worth it - really stunning card and I love your use of recycled items.
ReplyDeleteRhinestones are probably the best thing to re-use on cards ;) Very elegant card, Ceal! - Sweet Kobylkin
ReplyDeleteYou would never have guessed you found this card. I always love the look of white thread on cards but never seem to be able to make it work but here you have worked wonders x
ReplyDeleteBeautifully elegant Ceal and so crisp and CAS - ideal Christmas upcycling. Sarah x
