World Cardmaking Day!

Happy World Cardmaking day!

I can't believe it is already October! Have you been making cards today for world card making day? I had a chance to get a couple done today and hopefully will be able to get some more done for Falliday Fest that is coming up October 9th at Splitcoaststampers, Falliday Fest is taking the place of the Hope You Can Cling To, but it's still a card drive just for different card drives other than the MD Anderson. And it will help you get better prepared for the holidays. I will be hosting a challenge during it and I will share here when it's my turn, in the mean time be sure to play along with all the others because there are prizes involved.

Now for my card, I used a couple sets from Sweet 'n Sassy's  Christmas release, Holiday Hugs and Christmas Tag Sentiments. To make my card I started with a top folding A2 cream card base. I cut a panel out with a stitched die and created a background by randomly stamping the small and large snowflake from the set Holiday Hugs in different colors. I colored the snowman with Copic markers and cut him out using the ScanNcut. For the snow I used the Hillside Edges (currently out of stock) dies.
I wanted my card to have a vintage feel so I sponged Antique Linen distress ink around the edges of the panel, the snow and also to the bottom of the snowman. To finish the card I added the greeting for the Christmas Tag Sentiments and popped up the snowman.
