Butterflies and Music

Happy Monday!
Today we are featuring the Butterfly Music Stamp. there are several of us participating so be sure to check the DT blogs I have listed below for more inspiration.

To make my card I started with a side folding card base,a white panel cut with a scallop stitched die, the Butterfly Music stamp and the Wings to the Soul greeting which goes perfectly with the butterfly stamp.

I stamped the Butterfly Music stamp in Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. Next I took a stitched circle die and cut out the butterfly only and sponged the entire circle with Wilted Violet distress ink.
At this point is when I decided that I wanted to make two cards with the same image embossing them in separate colors and then using the pieces separately, so I embossed another image in purple embossing glitter and placed the butterfly image I had sponged with Wilted Violet into the negative space of the Purple glitter embossed panel giving me this two tone effect. To finish the card I stamped the greeting at the bottom of the card.

For the second card I also used a white side fold card base, a white panel cut with a scallop stitched die and the same two stamps as above. I stamped the image from the Butterfly Music in purple embossing glitter and cut out the Butterfly image using the stitched circle die.
I took the panel that I had embossed in white and sponged Blueprint Sketch distress ink over it entirely and then placed the stitched circle die with the embossed image using the purple embossing glitter in the negative space. I used the same greeting at the bottom to finish my card.

The MISTI tool was super helpful in making both of these cards, helping to line things up.

Here is a close up of both cards

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to stop by the rest of the  DT listed below for more inspiration.
