Tuesday Throwdown ~ Color Challenge

This week Kim at Sherrod Studios has a color challenge for you. These can sometimes be hard because they are usually colors that you would never think of putting together and in the end they always look great together.
We were to make a card of a project using these colors:
SU~ Barely Banana, Ruby Red and Creamy Caramel, White or Very Vanilla as a neutral
CTMH ~ Buttercup, Cranberry and Brown Bag, Whit or Vanilla as a neutral

For my card I used CTMH colors and one of the newest sets Pond Friends. To play along use the colors above and create a card or project. Go to the store blog and leave a link using Mr. Linky, if posting to an online gallery please use keyword SSTT03.

Meet The Sunbeams

Happy 2nd Birthday
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

We're turning 2 next month and we have oodles of fun in store to make it a birthday to remember...

We're introducing a precious new line of stamps called The Sunbeams.
This new line consists of 4 characters: Emma, Luke, Owen & Caitlyn. Every few months we will release a new series with a different theme. Each series will only be available for a limited time! Our first series is called Birthday Party in honor of our 2nd birthday :).

The Sunbeams were named after the song, "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam." It is my hope that these little children will remind you of the precious sunbeams in YOUR life!

We will be offering the whole set as a preorder starting November 1st through November 15th. The cost will be $20 for the Birthday Party Bundle. Once the preorders ship mid-November, we will sell the images individually, however when they are gone, they are gone! So get them while you can!!

We'd love your help in spreading the word about The Sunbeams and are offering a complete set to one lucky randomly chosen winner. All you have to do is go HERE, grab our badge and follow the instructions to have your name entered into the drawing to win the whole Birthday Party Bundle!

This is Emma.... She loves the Lord and helping her mommy around the house. She wants to be a mommy and teach Sunday School when she grows up.

The sketch I used for my card is this weeks challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenges.

Give Thanks

It's Sunday and time for another Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge. Laurie is our hostess this week and she was lead to choose this verse
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
His love endures forever."
1 Chronicles 16:34

This makes me think of the Michale W. Smith's song that says "give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love endures forever." As you can see that song is taken right out of scripture. God's love does endure forever. It is hard to understand the love God has for us because sometimes as humans it is hard for us to love others especially those who have hurt us. But God's love is unconditional, agape and He loves us no matter how many times we hurt him. I know I have hurt God many times because I am a sinner and not perfect like Jesus. I thank God for allowing Jesus to be the ultimate sacrifice so I can be seen through the blood of Jesus and be loved by the God of the universe. and be forgiven and seen righteous in His eyes.
The challenge is to make a card that expresses your thankfulness for someone or something they have done or to make a card that encourages someone to be thankful. I chose to make a card for my friend who is always there for me when I need her.
Our sponsor for this week is Rubber Stamp Shack and they are graciously donating a beautiful stamp set to one randomly chosen winner. Be sure to go HERE to see it and the rest of the DT projects they are beautiful!
My card uses a set from Sweet 'n Sassy "A True Friend" you can find tons of stamps that glorify God at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

Recipe Monday~ All around The World

It's Monday and Columbus Day. This week at Recipe Card Challenge in honor of Columbus Day our challenge is ALL AROUND THE WORLD. Pick a country and theme your recipe card and recipe after that country. We want to explore with Columbus! To find more interesting recipes and play along make your card, go to the Recipe Card Challenge and leave a comment with a link to your creation so we can see and try your recipe. I received this cute paper from Julie at Scrapbook Store At Your Door, and knew right away I wanted to do an Italian recipe because of the cute little Italian chefs. The two chefs were originally at the bottom corner of the page but I cut them out and placed them where I needed them so I would not cover them up with my recipe.
