Oxidized Snowflakes

Today's card is for this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp of

Winter is cold but it doesn't have to dreary. I love snow and rainbows so
 Snow + Rainbows = Paradise

I had snow much fun making this card, I started with a top folding white card base and piece of Bristol smooth cut down with a stitched die. Using the Original MISTI because of the Bristol paper, I inked up the Hero Arts Bold Prints Hand Drawn Snowflakes with Versamark ink and then embossed in white. Next I blended some distress oxide inks in rainbow order Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Lucky Clover, Peacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet to creat the background. After achieving the look I wanted I spritzed with water and blotted with a paper towel to get the oxidized look.  The greeting is from the December My Monthly Hero kiting is perfect for my card.

I also made this card for the challenge at SplitcoastStampers of
