Baby It's Cold Outside

Another late night card share for you. I have been busy this week making my Christmas cards and It has finally turned off cold here in the mountains so that equals a card with snow on it. I love all things snow and miss the snow in Colorado, we don't get quite as much snow here in the mountains of western North Carolina, but we do get some.
To make this card I started with a top folding white card base and panel cut down with a stitched die. I stamped the large snowflake from the Lovely Snowflake set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps in versa mark ink and embossed it in white. Next I sponged Peacock Feathers distress ink around it creating a circle and getting lighter around the edges.  I added some smaller flakes from the set Snowflake Greetings stamped in Peacock Fathers distress to the inside of the sponged circle.  For the center I added a snowflake cut out of glitter paper from the Funky Flakes Fri-dies. To finish the card I added a rhinestone to the center of the snowflake and the greeting also from the Lovely Snowflake set.
It is hard to see in my photo the glittery snowflake so here's a close up

I am entering this one in the Glitter &  Snowflakes challenge at CAS-ual Fridays

  1. Very pretty. I feel your pain. We rarely get snow in this part of Germany either.
