A Shabby Chic Diamond In The Rough

Today is my day to share my craft room over on Meljen's designs so I thought I would share it here with you also.
The above photo is what you see when you walk into my studio. When we moved to Colorado we have a basement and I have a nice big studio now. It is a diamond in the rough, we are finishing it as we have the extra money and we haven't had much of that lately, so I have imaginary walls. The table is my old dining room table where I do my coloring and scrapbooking.  I am wanting to find chairs of different styles to go around it, and then paint them fun colors. I have two four more to go.
This is my prettiest wall, the hubs put up a drop cloth so it looks like a wall. The dresser is where I store my Unity and stampin Up stamps and my beads and such in the smaller drawers. The sheves next to it is all my card making cardstock, this will go in my closet when I get one. The smaller piece beside that is where I store my scrapbooking cardstock.

the pink and brown organizers is where I keep my clear stamps such as Sweet 'n Sassy and Verve. These will also go in my closet when I get one. The small drawers beside that is where I keep more 8.5 X 11 cardstock, vellum and rub-on's.
these two have alot of goodies in them the one on the right has my Unity KOM and mailing supplies
I had the hubs glue this corkboard on the doors and had fun with my brads
This is how I store my stickles
This is how I store my Copic markers,. I had bought two of those shelves made just for Copics and when I was waiting on them to arrive I found this and I love it because I can just carry it with me to crops.  Never even used the shelves.
I have had several people ask about my Copic storage. I found this at target about three years ago in there patio section. It is designed to hold cutlery I think.
My Dad made this ribbon holder. But he made it as a feed holder for his quail, as soon as he quit raising quail I asked him for it. Perfect ribbon holder don't ya think?
Saw this n Pinterest and had to copy. Love storing my glitter in old salt shakers
Another Pinterest idea the hubs made for me, only my imaginary wall won't hold them fight now.
Buttons in one and ribbon on old clothespins in the other
Are you getting tired of looking and reading yet? We are almost done. This is two things I can't do without. My Vagabond and my Janome Sew Mini. The frame above the hubs made for me too.
This is my favorite corner. We came across this old fainting couch and my hubby redone it for me. We found the vintage light above it at a resale shop. The couch is comfy too, after making card I lay here and read a book.
This is my card making table and of course my furbaby, Willis underneath. He is either playing with his toys (you can see in the first picture, he never picks them up) laying in his bed or here under my feet.
I hope you have enjoyed my diamond in the rough. I love the shabby chic/Vintage style and my husband has helped me achieve this look. All of my shelves my sweet husband built and finished for me, all of my furniture with the exception of my desk and the piece my sewing machine is on he refinished for me. I love going to junk stores and fining pieces of furniture because he can make all of them match,.
Hopefully one day soon I will show you with real walls :)

  2. I'm so totally jealous, Ceal! This is, indeed, a magnificent diamond in the rough, and I'm going to steal some ideas from you, specifically the salt shakers for glitter! What a fabulous idea.
