A Sketch For You To Try X 3

Sat 2/13

Sat 2/20

Sat 2/27
Jen at i{heart}2stamp is has a chance to win a huge prize package to those who enter a card for each sketch in February. I shared the first weeks sketch card a few weeks ago and just got around to making the rest. They are due by March 2nd so I had to hurry.
All three of my cards use Unity Stamps I haven't got to play with. The first card uses stamps from the February KOM, the second card stamps are from Hodge Podge Of Happiness kit, and my third card uses stamps from the December KOM.

SSCC #28

Good Sunday morning, this is the day that the Lord has made , let us rejoice and be glad in it.
It's time for another Stampin' Sisters In Christ challenge. This week the talented Pamela is our hostess and she chose the following verse to share with us

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed,
do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Colossians 3:17
Here is her challenge:
You have free reign of what you want to do this week. But here's the deal: I want you to actively do this as an act of worship to our God. Before starting, pray. Thank God for your gift. While working, feel free to pray more, or perhaps sing out to Him. Put your focus on Him and remember that it is He who gave you your gift (however good or bad you think you are at this) and remember that it makes Him happy to see you at work. Do this challenge, as if you were doing it for Christ himself!

I tell you I was so blessed by this challenge. I pondered the scripture, prayed and thanked God for who He is and the gifts He has given me, put on some christian music and began singing praises to God as I was making my card. I prayed over my card and my daughter whom I made this card for. She had some disheartening news this past Friday and I wanted to make a card to cheer her up and let her know I am praying for her. I wanted a bright and cherry card for her and this Unity stamp is from the February KOM was just perfect. She loves buttons so I decided to cover my tree with them. The bird is a spellbinders die and the ribbon is from my LSS.

You're One Of A Kind

My card share today uses a Sweet 'n Sassy digi set One Of A Kind and a technique called "Out Of The Box" which has become a favorite and frequently used technique for me.
With all this snow and rain and cold weather I am so ready for Spring to be here! What about you? Today is supposed to be in the low 50's so it will be warmer, but I can't wait to see God's spring coloring. I love all the beautiful colors in the flowers and the green trees
I entered this one in the Saturday Spotlight challenge "Clean It Up" to make a CAS card

Time

Good Sunday Morning,
It's time for another Stampin' Sisters In Christ challenge. This week we have the talented Laurie as our hostess and she chose this verse of scripture:

Esther 4:14
“For if you remain silent at this time,
relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place,
but you and your father’s family will perish.
And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”

Her challenge is to make a project using a time piece or in some way denoting time. I can't wait to see everyone's take on this. There are so many different ways this challenge can be understood.

This has been a wonderful weekend in the life of our student ministry as it is Disciple Now weekend and we have had a great speaker and band this weekend who allowed God to use them fully. We are baptizing 31 students today so it is a Time of salvation. God is so good and worthy to be praised.

Real Love

Good Sunday Morning and Happy Valentine’s day!

I am this week's hostess at Stampin Sister In Christ. With today being Valentine’s Day and all about Love I could not help but chose a verse that is all about the only love that matters, which is God’s love.

"This is real love—not that we loved God,

but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins."

I John 4: 10

You know as humans we cannot even fathom that kind of love. We say I love you, but would we let our child die for those whom we love? God would have sent Jesus to die on the cross even if you were the only one on earth, He loves us that much. That is real Love.

My challenge to you is to make a card or project for someone you love letting them know how much God loves them. Salvation is the greatest gift you can ever receive, and it is a free gift from God. Tell your loved ones how much you love them but also share that God loves them even more!

I hope you can see that I stamped the sentiment I love you in the Background of the Cross, because that is exactly what God said when He sent Jesus "I love You!"

Supplies:

Stamps: Elegant Blessings~ Sweet 'n Sassy (retired)

Sentiment: Vintage Valentine~ CTMH

Happy Birthday Kristine

Today is Kristine's Birthday, a fellow DT member on Stampin Sisters In Christ and we decided to have a surprise birthday party blog hop for her. If you arrived here from Candace's blog you are on the right track, if not you will want to go to Kathy's blog and start from there.
We were to bring a favorite thing of Kris' to the party, she collects birdhouses so I brought one for her. We have something in common because I also have a birdhouse collection.

Kris also loves clowns so I found this cute clown digi at KL Stampin' and Scrappin, (where she is also a DT member ) to use on her birthday card.

Next you will want to stop by Helen's blog to see what she has brought to our party and her card for Kristine. Oh and don't forget to stop by the Birthday Girl herself Kristine's blog and wish her a Happy Birthday
